    Body and finished measurements: Use the body measurement to choose a size. Finished face opening and mantle span describe the hood itself for comparison with a hood you already wear.

    If your measurement lies between rows or on a shared boundary, choose the next larger size. If it falls outside the chart, contact us before ordering.

    Finished face opening is measured along the edge surrounding the face. It is a different measurement from head circumference. Finished mantle span is measured straight across the hood at the shoulder line, rather than down the mantle or across the tips of dags.

    Undo the hood’s buttons before putting it on, then fasten them in the intended wearing position. Compare opening comfort with a similar hood worn over the same head layer.

    Measurements are given in inches and centimeters. The first unit shown is the reference; the second is rounded. Use one unit consistently.

    The Elowen hood combines a long liripipe with a central sun motif and an ochre-and-rust botanical embroidered border. Four brass front buttons sit above the chest motif, while shallow dags shape the mantle edge.

    The leafy border continues around the mantle, with most of the upper back left plain. The sun and vine-like embroidery suit medieval-inspired event wear, coordinated guild attire or a heraldic LARP character. The sun motif and botanical border are the standard design for both listed colorways.
