Measure over your base layers
Use the body measurements in each product’s Size Guide to choose a starting size. Where finished measurements are listed, compare them with a similar garment. Ask us for any missing chest, shoulder, sleeve or body-length dimensions before ordering.
Check movement and layering
A fitted torso and a roomy torso create different silhouettes. Think about raising your arms, bending at the elbows and sitting while dressed for the event. Choose a vest, short-sleeve jacket or full-sleeve design to suit your costume and the layers beneath it.

Should I size up for a gambeson?

Can I wear a gambeson without armour?
A gambeson can be part of a standalone medieval outfit when its intended use and fit suit the event. Choose by fit, coverage and closure style for the outfit you want to wear.
